Synopsis
General Raker continues Apeslayer's origin story, telling how his men killed Apeslayer's mother and Dr. Carver, and took their children as slaves. Young Dozer grew up and was made a gladiator; his fighting skills earned him the name Apeslayer; eventually he becomes a fugitive and rebel.

Reprinted with omissions and alterations. Originally a Killraven story. Art alterations: Ape heads drawn onto Martian bodies and Killraven costume modifications. Takes inspiration from H. G. Well's novel "The War of the Worlds." This storyline spans issues 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30.
