Synopsis
Eve falls in love with Cal, but he admits he was engaged to Frances until 6 months earlier, when he caught her with another man. Cal says he loves Eve now. When Frances shows up looking for Cal, Eve claims he’s already married—-to her. Frances returns and confronts Cal about this, embarrassing Eve. However, Cal really does want to marry Eve, not Frances.

Synopsis
Jennie, “a working girl from a poor family,” marries wealthy Martin, a much older man. Her parents disown her as a result. Denis, Martin’s shiftless grown son, makes a pass at Jennie. When she turns him down, Denis tells his father that she has been chasing him. Martin demands an explanation but Jennie decides to get a divorce since she isn’t trusted. Martin loses his fortune and his son won’t help him. Martin and Jennie reconcile. Martin goes to work for Jennie’s father until he can reestablish his own business. Martin and Jennie become parents.

Synopsis
Joan’s father leaves her at an orphanage while he goes to “an institution” (for medical reasons) for 8 years. She makes friends with Bob, another child. When Joan’s father reappears, he and Joan take an apartment together. Joan goes to work for Joseph’s dress company. Both Joseph and Bob court Joan. Joan wins a 2-week vacation at a fancy resort and meets Franklyn there, but discovers he’s a gold-digger who thought she was rich. Later, Joseph tries to seduce her and Joan's father is unjustly arrested. Joan escapes from Joseph, her father is cleared and Joan marries Bob.
