- In this imaginary tale, Kal-El loses his powers to gold Kryptonite while on the way to Earth. Lex Luthor develops a serum which gives him super powers and becomes Superboy, then Superman. Clark Kent becomes Batman to avenge the death of his foster father at the hands of a burglar.
