Synopsis
Tex gets a call from Dick Dangello, editor of the Daily Press. Three of his reporters have vanished on the Isle of Akra, off the coast of Africa, while investigating a scientist who claims to have discovered an invisibility device. Tex offers to sail to Akra, where he meets up with the scientist, who orders them off the island. He picks up a gun and fires a cloud of gas at Gargantua, whose whole middle section becomes invisible. While being held captive they encounter the invisible Inspector Burke, who had been sent to investigate the murders of the three reporters.

They fly to Punta del Sol, where they are captured and reunited with President Valdez. The trio make good their escape, and Clip declares that he will capture the Revolutionary General.
