The Exiles make it to the home of the Timebroker and find it is an immense pink crystal palace. They discover their fallen friends held in stasis in the walls. They also find that the whole place is run by sentient bugs and the Timebroker isn't an actual person at all. Evil Hyperion has busted out of stasis and taken over the place which explains why things have been bad for the Exiles of late. The team battles the bad guy but he kills Holocaust and absorbs his power.
Blink and her crew have have made it to the Crystal Palace, the junction of reality from which their mission as Exiles has been launched by a group of aliens trying to fix the timestream. But the evil leader of the Weapon X squad, Hyperion, has taken over the palace and is bent on the Exiles' destruction as well as ruling all realities. The Exiles find they cannot stop him and the aliens awaken a former team member from stasis; the one they feel can help put a stop to Hyperion for good: Beak.
Hyperion has taken over the Crystal Palace and the Exiles try in vain to stop him. Suffering defeat at the hands of their powerful foe, things look bleak until Beak shows up with reinforcements from the timestream--two alternate reality versions of Hyperion himself.
