Synopsis
Pilot Buz Sawyer and his gunner Rosco Sweeney fight in the Pacific Theater during World War II, meeting the Japanese in aerial battles. Buz is also romanced by the guerilla fighter Maharani Nasinga. On a visit home to Willow Springs, Buz is pressured into an engagement with Tot Winter, despite his strong feelings for Christy Jameson. Buz returns to the war in time to fight in the last few months before Japan's surrender then prepares to return home for good.
