- Synopsis
- Burt tells his companions that the Gehenna Stone was the receptacle for the 'soul' of Ba'al, placed there by his evil acolytes after The Hand of God defeated him in ancient times. Ba'al's vanquisher shattered the stone and threw the pieces to the four corners of the Earth. A new Ba'al, supposedly the original's descendant, has been gathering them together a little at a time. Wolverine tangles with this new Ba'al and gets beaten. Accompanied by his followers Ba'al flies off with the Gehenna shard. In Madripoor, O'Donnell gets one of the Gehenna shards.
