Yakuza crime boss Dai-Kumo meets with the Prince to ask if they can capture a protected Madripoor spider monkey as he claims Dr. Malheur, in his employ, can make a cure for cancer from its brain. What they really make is a deadly drug called Thunderbolt which kills the user after a single dose. As he figures Patch is the only person who can put a hitch in the plan, Dai-Kumo sends a cadre of assassins to kill him. Three Yakuza hopped up on the designer drug almost succeed.
