- Historical descriptions of two firearms used in America's Old West of the 1800s. One, the Beecher's Bible, was a rifle invented in 1848 by one Christian Sharps and sent to Henry Beecher in crates marked "Bibles". The other is the Colt Single Action Army .45, a revolver popular circa 1872.
