In Haiti, Martine brings Keith to meet Mambo Matilda who gives him a real Nightmask costume. They journey to the site where Tullius intends to kill Lucian and Teddy. Taking his lead from Mambo Matilda, Keith closes his eyes and, in a waking dream, envisions himself as Damballah, the great white snake-god. He confronts and defeats Tullius. Beaten, the voodoo priests' followers lose faith in him. With his power over the people broken, Tullius flees.
