DC credited the script to Bill Finger in The Green Arrow by Jack Kirby reprint and here, but they credit Dave Wood in the Showcase Presents Green Arrow #1 reprint. The GCD writing-experts' consensus is that Wood is the most-likely candidate, but Herron is possible, and Finger is also possible, but the least-likely of the three.

- At first, it was a tiny speck--almost a nothingness--seen only through a powerful microscope!

- Synopsis
- Saunders and Drake find a microscopic animal that has been destroying their mineral specimens. They try to kill it and after many attempts leave it overnight under a positive ion beam. Next morning the lab is destroyed and footsteps lead through a hole in the wall. They follow the trail to a town under construction. The town caretaker escapes and warns them but then a ray from the creature melts their Jeep. Bullets also melt but then they notice that the windscreen of the jeep hasn't melted. They use a portable negative ion generator behind glass to shrink and destroy the creature.

- A scientific expedition comes across an unknown island with stone statues resembling those on Easter Island. After one of the statues comes to life, Prof. Spears deciphers an tablet and discovers that the statues are sentries for an ancient alien base under the island. Luckily, the tablet also tells the scientists how to deactivate the sentries, and they are able to escape before the island submerges.
