Synopsis
Captain Atom finds himself on a mission to destroy an enemy base that is a danger to the government. He attacks a castle, defended by an army of medieval warriors, but with ogres and warriors on strange beasts. His is easily winning the battle, but suddenly flashes back to a meeting of the Justice League, and then collapses.

Synopsis
Captain Atom has collapsed, but recovers in time to stop a soldier from killing him. He then acts as if he has just awakened, and looks around, seeing the destruction he has caused. He then goes to the castle he was attacking, forces his way in, and talks with the king to see if he can figure out what's going on. At first he can't even remember his name, nor what he is doing there; but then remembers he is Captain Atom.

Synopsis
Captain Atom is being monitored by human military personnel. They realize he has his wits back. He is still trying to remember, when he is attacked by the military in battle suits. He urges his new friends to flee while confronting the military. They take him down, but in turn the battle suits are taken out by a magician. One of the attackers, Specialist Jenny Blake, is captured, and forced to help carry off Captain Atom.

Synopsis
Captain Atom awakes in an encampment, and discovers that Specialist Jenny Blake is really on the other side, has has been working with the rebels, revealing herself to be Natasha Irons. She informs Captain Atom that he had been brainwashed by General Lane and Mirabai and turned into a weapon. He starts remembering bad things he had done, including as Monarch. Royard catches up with them, and wants to capture Captain Atom, but behind him stands Major Force.

Synopsis
On Mirabai's world, Captain Atom and Major Force fight, with Major Force taunting that Atom has killed before as Monarch, but Atom saying he is no longer Monarch. Meanwhile, Jenny Blake escapes to keep her cover. Major Force brings Captain Atom back to Metropolis, where overwhelming forces are ready to take him into custody, but Mon-El shows up and disables the forces.

Synopsis
Captain Atom takes out Major Force, and then he and Mon-El discuss who Mon-El is and what he's doing as they travel to the Justice League watchtower. There they talk with Starfire, with Captain Atom remembering more of his career, including his time on the Wildstorm earth, and some of his time as Monarch. But the rest of the League shows up, calling him a fugitive from the U.S. Military.

He decides he needs to go back to Mirabai's homeworld to fix things, and asks for help of a magical nature. As Zatanna has disappeared, they end up calling in the Shadowpact.
