Script: The Mad Archives #1 is reported to have credited Harvey Kurtzman, but Kurtzman told how ā€œBill and Alā€ wrote the page while Kurtzman was ill and away from the office. Gaines said that ā€œweā€ filled the page out of necessity, and as a joke on Kurtzman (Benson 1986, final page of section reprinting Mad #5).

Art credits identified in The Mad Archives (DC, 2002 series) #1.

Script: Sources vary. De Fuccio credit is from "Totally MAD" CD collection. Kitchen and Buhle assert that ā€œHarvey Kurtzman wrote every word from front to backā€ of this issue (2009, 83); it does appear that Kitchen and Buhle overlooked ā€œThe EC ā€˜Publisher of the Issue,ā€™ā€‰ā€ above.
