- Jill wants to go out and be gay instead of slaving at home like her mother and sisters. She lets Bob know that she would like to go to the Valentine Ball, but is humiliated when he attempts to auction her off for an evening to raise the money to take her. He apologizes and she agrees to go to the ball with him, planning to get back at him for humiliating her. But she discovers that she doesn't want to be gay and lively anymore as she just wants to be with him.

- Synopsis
- Sandra is an airline hostess on the London-Rome route with boyfriends in every port. She shares all her news with the driver of the passenger bus whenever she comes back home, but secretly thinks he's an old stick in the mud. Eventually, she starts getting bored and gets one of her boyfriends to take her to a party, even though she doesn't recognize the host's name on the invitation. When she gets there, she is surprised to see the busman, not realizing he is the host of the party.

Eventually, she saw the ideal combination: her practical mind, his feeling for people, plus their love for each other.

- Helen starts reading a letter from Pete that seems critical of her for going to London to run a singer's fan club. That night the singer suggests there could be more between them if she wasn't engaged and she tells him that she is no longer engaged. When she gets home she finishes reading Pete's letter and discovers he is asking her to come back home and marry him. Then the phone rings and the singer tells her he just won the Golden Disc and is coming over to celebrate.
