When her boyfriend had been away in Scotland, Rita began going out with 'the crowd' and forgets about him. He had written her a letter, but she didn't have time to read it and lost it at the beach. Rita enjoys herself and gets a reputation for kissing lots of boys. When Andy returns, he has lots of money and was the catch among the girls. Rita tries to get him back, but he walks out on her. When the letter was found at the beach and redirected to her, she discovered that he had asked her to marry him and cable him back at once.
