Synopsis

Jill meets Ken when he is running after his dog Hugo that jumps on a bus without him. They start going steady and soon Ken proposes to her. Everything seems to be going perfectly as they start decorating their new flat until Ken buys a lampshade that Jill thinks is hideous. They have their first real quarrel and call the whole thing off. But Hugo has other ideas.

Paul doesn't help Jill contact Stan, but instead takes her to Paris. While there Paul proposes to her, but back at the hotel she receives a call from Stan in London asking her not to accept Paul's proposal. Jill wonders how Stan could know about her possible engagement ten minutes after Paul had proposed.
