The 1986–1987 releases were published by Brian Marshall's Imperial Comics, originally based in Boulder, Co; later moving to Brooklyn, NY. Imperial — along with Amazing, Eternity, Malibu, and Wonder Color — was privately financed by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg of Sunrise Distributors. Imperial titles BATTLE TO THE DEATH, NAZRAT, and PROBE were picked up by Eternity Comics when Imperial was shut down and Marshall joined Eternity.
The 1994 Imperial Comics releases were published by another entity, based in Holland, PA.
