Synopsis
Responding to a distress call from a ship lost 18 years before, the Enterprise arrives at Talos IV to investigate. The landing party initially finds what appears to be survivors, but discovers that was an illusion by the Talosians. The Talosians capture Captain Pike and intend for him to live out his life in a series of dream scenarios as a companion to Vina, the only true human survivor.
