Published by the Chicago Tribune, the Detroit Free Press, and The Los Angeles Times. All versions contain identical content with the exception of the local newspaper branding. Detroit Free Press version did not start until September 15, 1940.
These special comic-book-style inserts for Sunday newspaper sections were from the Chicago Tribune Syndicate featuring its comics in a landscape format.
Sixteen pages cut out of the newspaper that printed the section. The comic book was then made by folding the cut-out sections together in a similar fashion on how many The Spirit (Register and Tribune Syndicate, 1940 series) Sunday sections were done.
