Garry Trudeau was assisted by inker Todd Pound (Trudeau 2015; Pound 2021).
In 2001, George Corsillo became the regular colorist of Doonesbury Sunday strips (Walker 2010, 183). As of July 2016, Corsillo was continuing to color Sundays (Sepulveda 2016).
Since 2008, the strip has been lettered using a custom computer font based on the hand-lettering of former Doonesbury letterer Don Carlton (Walker 2010, 241).
