- Synopsis
- The chief entrusts Tracy to conduct a major raid, but he gives details to Tess, who shares it with a friend who blabs it widely, and the crooks escape. After Tess and Tracy blow up at each other he is so distracted that his work suffers, so the chief assigns him to walk a remote part of town as a uniformed patrolman. Tess helps him uncover and capture payroll robbers, so they are reunited and Tracy is reinstated.

- When Tracy is shot, Chief Brandon arrests Junior, whose fingerprints were on the gun. Once Tracy recovers consciousness he uses ballistics testing to prove that the gun with Junior's prints did not fire the bullets that wounded Tracy. But the disillusioned Junior has escaped from the House of Detention, and is on the run.

Tracy captures Steve, who is sentenced to life in prison, but leaves a heartbroken Junior with his elderly father.
