Per an interview with R. C. Harvey; Vic Herman says that he drew himself as Drawin'-Board McEasel.
Herman's art is about 26 pages of the story.
The art by Al Capp may be repurposed from previous work. For instance part of the first page is taken from the cover of Li'l Abner Comics (Harvey, 1947 series) #62.
