Synopsis
A giant alien ship on the ocean floor zaps the Phoenix Force and sends it into the Ultraverse. Gateway sends the X-Men into the Ultraverse. The Phoenix Force possesses Prime. The X-Men are already in a battle with Prime when this happens. Cromwell sends Ultraforce to stop the Phoenix Force but when they see the X-Men beating on Prime, they join the wrong side. The Black Knight recognizes the heroes and stops the conflict and the two teams drive the Phoenix Force out of Prime. Storm explains to the Ultras exactly what the Phoenix is. They cannot catch their quarry before it finds a new host.
