- Synopsis
- Set "years ago", young Jimmy Olsen is selling extra newspapers on the street. The "10" is operating in Metropolis, and have killed Jimmy's guardian, his neighbor Tess Haslip. She had accounting books that they want. The 10 is after Jimmy thinking he may know where the books are, so he's been living in the Planet's basement to hide. They find him and kidnap him. Superman tracks them, but they trap him. Jimmy frees him, and they clean up the gang. Jimmy is hired as a copy boy at the Planet, and becomes Superman's pal.

"Fort Bridwell" is an homage to former Superman writer/editor E. Nelson Bridwell. "Kurtiswana" is an homage to former Superman penciller Curt Swan.

- Synopsis
- The lab monkey from the tests that created the Kryptonite Man is on the loose, and finds the Kryptonite Man, helping him escape. Jimmy has become a hero, Mr. Action, and debates what to do next. Kryptonite Man takes over Rydertech's labs. Jimmy finds out about it, and as Mr. Action attacks, but is defeated. Superman tracks them down, but is overcome also. As he is tied up in the back, Jimmy doesn't know that Superman's there, and constructs another hypersonic signal device. The signal is answered by Krypto.
