- Gorilla Grodd, disguised as William Dawson, is released from prison. He travels back to a Gorilla City, transforms back into his gorilla self and irradiates himself with neo-magnetic radiation which makes anyone that sees him love him. After seeing how well it works on his fellow gorillas he travels to Central City and tries to get himself elected governor. Flash defeats him by making use of solar flare radiation.

The original caption from Flash #127 read "But is Grodd -- behind heavy bars and in a darkened cell to prevent even the sight of him -- really helpless? Perhaps -- but perhaps not! - Synopsis
- Walter Hewitt, a loner scientist, develops a ray that gives him the abilities of animals. Unfortunately something goes wrong and a gorilla gets his intelligence and forces him to commit crimes. Batman battles the gorilla but it uses the ray to get Batman's abilities. The gorilla makes a bomb that will go off if he is defeated but Batman figures out how to stop the bomb from exploding.
