Indexer Notes

This cover contains an unusual number of errors. The title Dailies and Sundays is incorrect, as the book contains only Sunday strips. Two story titles are incorrect: Doctor Croft's Rubies (as Doctor's Croft Rubies) and The Wan Ching Case (as The Wan China Case). Also the name of Charlie Chan's creator, Earl Derr Biggers is given incorrectly, without the final letter s on his last name.

Indexer Notes

Title given is somewhat misleading, as Charlie Chan's Notebook is a brief pseudo-proverb which appears in the logo panel of most of the Sunday strips. The first 6 strips introduce the characters. The rest is a story that might be called The Claire Lamont Poisoning.

The main target was Doctor Croft's bag, holding a million dollars worth of pigeon blood rubies. Croft invites Charlie to come to his mountain lodge while Kirk recuperates.
