Issue Notes

Collects The Liberty Project (Eclipse, 1987 Series) and Total Eclipse: The Seraphim Objective (Eclipse, 1988 Series). In the Afterward, Kurt Busiek notes "this reprinting is not exactly archival -- in addition to printing in black-and-white and at a smaller size. we've taken a few liberties, moving the occasional caption for better reading flow, and changing a little dialogue here and there. Back then we referred to characters from other Eclipse comics within the book -- DNAgents, The Masked Man, Airboy, Miracleman -- with an eye to possible crossovers or guest appearances, but since those series are all owned by others, we removed the references here, replacing them with names James [Fry] and I do own ... The only outside references we did keep were to Airboy and the related characters -- Valkyrie, Skywolf and so on -- since they were the only ones to actually appear in the pages printed here, and we were able to secure legal permission to reprint their appearances."
