The Profit

Self-published comic by Joel Beck; among the first 'underground comics', predating the term's common usage.

There are at three known versions at this time; the first has thin white cover stock, size 6.25" x 9.375", uncommon and thought to be the very first edition; there are 2 other versions, both with heavy orange coloured paper stock, measuring 6 x 7.875"; the first has a red border; with a slightly less common version with a purple border; parts of this comic were reprinted in Joel Beck's Comics and Stories (Kitchen Sink, 1977 series).
