Universe
Synopsis The 5 earths and their universes are safe, but for how long? Even now, plans are being made to control all 5 universes. Meanwhile, a captive Flash [Barry Allen] and Psycho Pirate witness the reemergence of the Antimonitor, clad in new armor as a result of the battle at his fortress (Crisis 7). His new plan calls for the creation of an antimatter cannon, powered by an antimatter dwarf star, but Flash sacrifices his life using the Pirate to control emotionally the Antimonitor's Thunderer elite as a diversion. Once inside the cannon, Flash spins counterclockwise to cause the energies to build up inside by imploding, then violently exploding outward to destroy it. The Antimonitor, angered at this attempt throws Flash throughout time (as Flash rapidly ages due to the antimatter energies as seen in issues 2, 3, and 12 with his afterimages), but fails, and swears vengeance at the dawn of time after the cannon's destruction. To be continued... The 5 earths and their universes are safe, but for how long? Even now, plans are being made to control all 5 universes.
