Captain Reynolds destroys the thought machine (an "Ultimate Computer", if you will) using the same "disorienting question with no true answer" that Star Trek's Captain Kirk would use several times during STAR TREK TOS. Those reading this story when reprinted in 1969 might call it out for ripping-off Star Trek -- until we consider this story was originally published in 1951! ...For good measure Reynolds captains a ship of the "Galaxy Federation"! Writer John Broome looks to have anticipated Star Trek by a decade and a half.
